Leftover Longing

– about what didn’t leave

This head is about a longing that lingered.
A hunger that had nowhere to go.
Not resolved. Not gone. Just… still there.

As if the body can’t decide whether to stay or move on.
There’s no gaze, no need for attention — just a kind of quiet presence
that hangs in the air.

The shape is heavy and soft at the same time.
Compact, but not closed.
As if something has come to a halt inside.
As if the head no longer knows whether it’s holding on or letting go.

I made this when I felt something had run its course,
but my body hadn’t caught up yet.
No cry. No explanation.
Just a leftover feeling, that preferred to stay rather than fade.
